Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1283575A1] The electrical power system has a suspended overload protection provided by a series of porcelain isolators (2) between power connections (3,6). Protection against lightning arcing is provided by a pair of metal arcing electrodes (4,5) These are dish shaped with a pattern of curved channels. The magnetic field generated results in extinguishing of the arcing.
