[origin: EP1284115A2] The arm rest for a swiveling office chair is made up of an upper (16) and lower (11) half shell. A slide (20) fits inside these and is fastened to a support column (1) by bolts (17) passing through slots (12) in the lower half shell. This allows the position of the arm rest to be adjusted sideways to suit the user.
