Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1284472A2] The vehicle adapter (1) reads-out running- and fault data. It includes transmitter and receiver units, to transmit stored data or receive data from an external transmitter. The mobile unit (M) has a portable diagnosis unit (2) with I/O unit and a portable small computer (2b) with wireless transceiver for data exchange. A base station (3) receives data from the adapter and mobile unit and transceives data to a network input node (4). <??>Further equipment includes a stationary unit (S) with network nodes, a personal computer (5) with display (6), an I/O unit (7) and a memory unit (8) to store information relating to a vehicle parameter. <??>An Independent claim is included for the corresponding method of remote diagnosis for vehicles.
