Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1284586A2] A method of directional propagation of sound to a listener with acoustically perceptible audio-sound (3) by modulation of the amplitude of an intensive ultra-sound carrier signal (2) radiated as a concentrated beam from an ultra-sound transmitter (1). The audio-sound is directed to the listener (4) by means of a reflector (5), and the ultra-sound-carrier signal is damped before reaching the listener by a device positioned between the ultra-sound transmitter and the listener. Damping of the ultra-sound signal is specifically carried out by means of absorption. An Independent claim is given for a directional sound radiation device.
