A supplier supplies a constituent such as shreds of tobacco leaf laminate to a foraminous conveyor (41). A guide has a surface defining path for advancement of the constituent to the conveyor. A sifter (12) is arranged to supply the constituent and air towards a metering device, from the conveyor.

Die Erfindung betrifft die Anordnung und die pneumatische Versorgung eines Sichtersystems in einem Fließbett-Verteiler einer Zigarettenstrangmaschine. Es ist das Ziel, den Tabakstrangaufbau durch gezielte, den Strangaufbau vorbereitende Maßnahmen weiter zu verbessern. Erfindungsgemäß wird ein dem Fließbett (34) vorgeordneter Stauschacht (27) von einem Zick-Zack-Sichter (12) über einen Tabak-/Luftabscheider (16), die in einem Umluftsystem (14) betrieben werden, mit Tabak beschickt. Dies hat den Vorteil einer optimalen Trennung von erwünschten Tabakfasern und unerwünschten Tabakrippen, deren effektive frühzeitige Trennung eine genaue Dosierung vor dem Aufbau des Fließbettstromes gewährleistet. <IMAGE>
