A dust collecting apparatus for an eraser or the like dust producing or generating devices and an eraser provided therewith. The dust collecting apparatus consists of an eraser (50), a dust collecting bag (20), a dust-conducting pies and components (40) and a housing structure which includes an external housing (10) and an interior housing (30) wherein the external housing comprises a number of switches and display lamps, an opening (106) for bag swapping and a vacuum exhaust vent (14). <IMAGE>
