[origin: EP1285997A2] The all-weather surface is provided by a loose material (1) applied to a solid under-layer (2) with a rough surface and formed from non-hygroscopic, fully-synthetic carpet material sections, e.g. provided by shredding. The thickness of the loose material layer is between 10 and 30 cm, each of the carpet material sections having an irregular surface with a diameter in the range between 1 and 10 cm.
