A motor armature (24) is connected by a shaft (22) to a pump wheel (10) provided downstream of an intake channel (14) in a feed direction (12). A slit pot (34) surrounds the motor armature around which feed medium flows for cooling. A supporting element (44) provided in an intake channel (14) has an abutting surface (50) on which a flow surface (52) of the pump wheel abuts to take up axial forces.

Eine Naßläuferpumpe, die insbesondere zur Kühlmittelförderung in Kraftfahrzeugmotoren geeignet ist, weist ein Pumpenrad (10) auf. Durch das Pumpenrad (10) wird ein Fördermittel durch einen Ansaugkanal (14) in einen Abgabekanal (18) gefördert. Über eine gemeinsame Welle (22) ist mit dem Pumpenrad (10) ein Motorläufer (24) eines Elektromotors (26) verbunden. Der Motorläufer (24) ist von einem Spalttopf (34) umgeben, wobei der Motorläufer (24) zur Kühlung von Fördermittel umspült wird. Die Lagerung der Welle erfolgt durch zwei Radiallager (40,48), wobei eine Radiallager in einem Abstützelement (44) angeordnet ist. Das Abstützelement (44), das innerhalb des Ansaugkanals (14) angeordnet ist, weist ferner eine Anlauffläche (50) auf, gegen die eine Anströmfläche (52) des Pumpenrades (10) zur Aufnahme von Axialkräften anläuft. <IMAGE>
