Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10021779C1] Separation of physically detectable particles (3) from a current of carrier liquid comprises feeding it over a beam-shaped barrier (6) so that the particles (3) of greater specific weight settle out in front of the barrier. They are then periodically separated off, separation being controlled by a signal generated by a detector for the particles. An Independent claim is included for an apparatus for carrying out the above process containing detectors which generate signals fed via a control to a servo system which controls an outlet.
