Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0188214A1] The invention relates to a single-piece gamma -TiAl-based intermetallic alloy component having a graduated structural transition between spatially adjacent areas, each area being provided with a different structure. Said component has a lamellar cast structure composed of alpha 2/ gamma lamellae in at least one area; a near- gamma structure, a duplex structure or a fine lamellar structure in at least one other area; and a transition zone with a graduated structure between these areas. The lamellar cast structure gradually changes in said transition zone into the other named structure. The invention also relates to a method for producing said component.
