Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0192749A1] The invention relates to an air-suspended axle structure, which is provided with a braking device and which is to be used, in particular, in vehicle trailers. An integral part of the braking device is an adjusting device (5), which is fastened to the brake caliper (4) and which can be driven by an electric motor (6). Said adjusting device is provided for generating the brake application pressure directed toward the brake disk (10). The aim of the invention is to obtain an easy to maintain and versatile braking device design inside the axle structure. To this end, the electric motor (6) is fastened to the axle body (2) separate from the adjusting device (5). The electric motor (6) and the adjusting device (5) are connected to one another in a rotationally fixed manner via a drive shaft (7), which extends perpendicular to the direction of travel and essentially parallel to the axle body (2).
