Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0192870A2] The invention relates to various embodiments of a kit for simultaneous, qualitative and/or quantitative detection of a plurality of analytes, comprising a sensor platform consisting of a thin-layered optical wave guide with a layer (a) which is transparent at least at one excitation wavelength on a layer (b) which is also transparent at least at the same excitation wavelength, having a lower refraction index than layer (a), and at least one lattice structure (c) modulated in layer (a); in addition to at least one array of biochemical or synthetic detector elements immobilized on layer (a) and disposed in discrete measuring areas (d) either directly or by means of an adhesion promoting layer. Said detector elements are used for specific detection and/or bonding of said anayltes and/or specific interaction therewith. The inventive kit also contains means for local resolution referencing of the excitation light intensity present in the measuring areas in addition to, optionally, means for calibrating at least one luminescence produced as a result of bonding between one or several analytes or as a result of the specific interaction with one or several analytes in the near field of layer (a). A liquid sample in which the analytes are to be examined is brought into contact, either directly or after mixing it with other reagents, with the measuring areas on the sensor platform. The invention also relates to analytic systems based on the inventive kit, methods which are conducted in order to detect one or several analytes and the use thereof.
