[origin: EP1287777A2] The device is equipped with a sponge cloth (15) at the back to be used for distributing water and/or a cleansing fluid across the window pane in order to loosen the dirt and a rubber lip (3) for the removal of the soiled water at its lower edge. A holding strip (6) provided with bristles (7) or bundles of bristles is attached parallel to the rubber lip (3), the bristles (7) acting as guiding elements, leading the soiled water into the receptacle (2) where it is absorbed by a sponge (12).
