[origin: EP1287923A2] The device is recessed into the front panel, whereby an impression (2) with a larger diameter than the switch is provided in the front panel. At least four through holes (14,16) are provided in the impression that extend from an inner annular section about a central leadthrough (10) for the switch's rotation axle to close to the outer edge of the impression.. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method of manufacturing a circular impression in a metal panel to hold a rotary switch and an equipment front panel of metal plate.
