Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1287988A2] The method detects the position of the paper track by detecting color free and/or wetting agent-free stripes. Stripes free of wetting agent can be detected by measuring the water content of the paper track. Stripes free of color can be detected by measuring light absorption. These can be measured using an infrared sensor system (16,26). Independent claims also cover an apparatus for carrying out the method.
