Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1288011A2] An ink jet recording element comprising a support having thereon a porous image-receiving layer comprising at least 50% by weight of particles and less than 20% by weight of a binder, the particles comprising a mixture of (a) inorganic particles having a primary particle size of from 7 to 40 nm in diameter which may be aggregated to provide a mean aggregate particle size of up to 500 nm; and (b) colloidal particles having a mean particle size of from 20 to 500 nm; and wherein the difference between the mean aggregate particle size of the (a) inorganic particles and the mean particle size of the (b) colloidal particles is within 10%.
