Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1288365A1] In a printing process a textile web is subjected to the application of printing paste and passed through a steam discharge zone. Prior to washing, surplus paste thickening agent is removed from the web for re-use. The mixture (11) of air and impure agent (10) is lifted from the downwards-directed printed surface especially by upwards-directed suction beams (3) operating at 0.3-0.85 bar. The printed face is horizontal to almost vertical and is guided over the beams (3) by rollers (2, 2a). The paste consists of a print thickening agent, dye, acid dispenser, conservation agents as required and textile finishing additives. Prior to the washing process the impure thickening agent (10) is removed by suction and returned to an air separator (6) and filtered (8).The recovered agent is surrendered to a holding tank (9), homogenized and brought to the correct start ratios and concentration, followed by introduction of dyes as required and the viscosity adjusted. Also claimed is a commensurate printing agent recovery assembly.
