[origin: EP1288392A2] A support device beneath the support construction (10) has at least one connector unit (24) in both end regions for joining it to the connector units (32) on the vertical columns (30). The support device provides at least one supporting part (22) for the e.g. stage support (12). The support has at least one connector unit (14) in both end regions for securing it to the vertical columns and supporting the fittings of a platform, stage, podium or scaffolding construction. The vertical columns have connector units distributed over their length, which can be secured to the connector units at the ends of the support.
