The method involves pre-assembly alignment of the drive parts of the rotor (2) and rotation drive part (5) and fixing the rotation angle setting of the rotor, at least during its axial assembly, using a braking current, especially a d.c. braking current, in the starter generator (2,3), especially the stator winding (3.1) of the asynchronous machine.

Beim axialen Zusammenbau von Verbrennungsmaschine (1) einerseits und Starter-Generator (2;3) andererseits ist mit einfachen Mitteln eine Montagefixierung einer Drehstellungsausrichtung des Rotors (2) des Starter-Generators (2;3) zum anzukoppelnden Rotations-Antriebsteil (5) der Verbrennungsmaschine (1) bis zu deren gegenseitigem Formschluss im Endmontagezustand auf einfache Weise durch eine Bremsbestromung der an sich vorhandenen Statorwicklung (3.1) des Starter-Generators (2;3) vorgesehen. <IMAGE>
