[origin: WO0189945A1] The invention relates to a can top (1) for drinks cans (6). Conventional drinks cans (6), which are mostly made from tinplate, have a top section (8) with an opening (9) and an upper can edge (10) rolled outwards. The aim of the invention is to improve the drinking properties of said drinks cans (6). According to the invention, the can top (1) possesses a fixing section (2) with an upper edge stop (4) and a raised stop (5) arranged in the lower region, such that the can top (1) can be fixed to the can edge (10). Furthermore a drinking section (3) is provided, which is formed in one-piece on the fixing section (2) and thus extends in the form of a beaker over the upper edge stop (4) of the fixing section (2).
