[origin: WO0194729A1] The invention relates to a locking bar for turning and tilting windows and/or doors. The desired switching sequence can be effected by an activable switching mechanism (lever) by means of at least one mounting. The locking bar (10) has both the locking pattern (20) of the turn-tilt (TT) switching sequence and that of the tilt-before-turn switching sequence (TBT), the locking pattern (20) being located in such a way that the locking bar (10) effects the turn-tilt switching sequence (TT) in one fitting position on the mounting (30) and the tilt-before-turn switching sequence (TBT) in the other fitting position which can be rotated about 180 DEG . The locking bar (10) preferably interacts with a setback arm which determines the tilting position of the leaf and the switching position (L, T, T; L, T, T). The locking pattern (20) is advantageously arranged asymmetrically in relation to the vertical axis (11) on the locking bar (10) and has connecting elements (13) at each end of the longitudinal side for a connection joint (25), these connecting elements enabling the locking bar (10) to be connected on the mounting in such a way that it can be rotated about 180 DEG , preferably with a form fit.
