[origin: WO0127478A1] A servo control for a cam phaser (10) includes a pulse width modulated controller (20) that operates a four way solenoid valve (18). The cam phaser piston (12) or vane(s) are positioned with a computer program stored in the controller (20). The program establishes a deadband to exclude noise. It compensates for variations in oil temperature and voltage.
