Abstract (en)
The positions of the fastening points (14, 15) on the lining (11) and/or saddle stem are variable and fixable, so that the lining is kept firmly against the saddle stem under variable pre-tension. The saddle stem has a pair of flexible linings each extending along the saddle stem length side, in contact with the horses back. The front and rear regions (12, 13) of the linings are secured via fasteners to points on the underside of the stem. Independent claims are also included for (a) a saddle stem with multi-layer elastic panel material (26-30) in the front and/or rear regions of the linings, the bottom layer (26) of the front region containing a number of length slots and/or incisions (34), at least some of which are overlapped by the layer (27) above, (b) a saddle stem with multi-layer elastic panel material in the front and/or rear regions of the linings, the second-from bottom layer of the front and/or rear regions being tapered from the fastening points towards the middle and then diverging again, (c) a saddle stem with multi-layer elastic panel material in the front and/or rear regions of the linings, the second-from bottom layer of the front and/or rear regions diverging from the fastening points towards the middle, and (d) a saddle with one of these stems.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Sattelbaum für einen Pferdesattel mit einem Paar flexiblen Trachten (11), die jeweils entlang der Längsseite des Sattelbaums auf dem Pferderücken aufliegen und die mit ihrem vorderen Bereich (12) und ihrem hinteren Bereich (13) an Befestigungspunkten jeweils auf der Unterseite des Sattelbaums mit diesem über Befestigungsmittel (14,15,17) verbunden sind. Gemäß der Erfindung ist vorgesehen, dass die Trachten (11) aus einem zumindest im vorderen und/oder hinteren Bereich mehrlagigen elastischen Plattenmaterial (26-30) bestehen und dass die auf dem Pferderücken aufliegende erste Lage (26) des vorderen Bereichs (12) der Trachte eine Vielzahl von Längsschlitzen und/oder Längseinschnitte (34) aufweist, von denen zumindest ein Teil von einer darüber liegenden zweiten Lage (27) zumindest teilweise überlappt werden. <IMAGE>
