Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1291490A2] A cutting tool is positioned adjacent to the rock, with the rotatable hub of the tool facing the clear surface of the rock. The hub is then urged along a path in transverse relationship to its axis of rotation, causing the cutting elements of the tool to undercut adjacent portions of the rock. An Independent claim is also included for a rock excavator.
