[origin: WO0198128A1] The invention concerns a device for maintaining in relative position end platforms (2) and (3) of a combined railway/road transport car during the pivoting movements of the railway structure (6) bearing the road car load. The invention is characterised by a longitudinal mechanical linkage (1) linking the two end platforms (2) and (3). Said linkage (1) is a thin longitudinal element not transmitting longitudinal loads. Preferably, said linkage is housed in a central tunnel (10) provided in the floor and bearing the swivel pin of the railway structure (6) bearing the road car load. The invention is of interest for manufacturers of railway/road transport equipment.
