Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0196164A1] The aim of the invention is to provide a method for automatically placing railway track sections (C), which had been indicated as being occupied due to an incorrect counting, in their initial position without directly comparing the number of axles of the vehicles entering and leaving the sections indicated as being occupied. To this end, a virtual railway track section (C4D) is assigned to each counting point (4) to be masked. Said virtual railway track section (C4D) spans this counting point and at least both contiguous railway track sections (C, D). The initial position of a railway track section (C), which had been indicated as being occupied due to an incorrect counting, is solely dependent on the indication indicating that at least one of the virtual railway track sections (C4D, B3C) spanning the same is free. This indication is provided by means of counting axles. The inventive method can be used for any complex railway track topology.
