Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0198571A1] The invention relates to a device for guiding in warp threads between the dents of a reed. The device has a driving device which is connected to a control unit and which is used for positioning the reed along a path of travel, in predetermined positions in front of a drawing in device for warp threads. A device of this type enables a warp thread to be guided through a space formed between two reed dents by means of the drawing in device, respectively. The aim of the invention is to improve the precision with which the warp threads are drawn into a reed. To this end, a detection device (32) that is connected to the control unit by transmission means is provided for detecting one or more reed dents (23, 23') and/or spaces between dents (50, 50'). Said detection device (32) generates a signal (53) which is dependent on the respective position of the at least one space (50, 50') and/or the reed dents (23, 23'), the transmission means make the signal available to the control unit and the control unit initiates the positioning of the reed by displacement in the direction of travel along a route to be determined to a desired position. The route can be determined according to the signal.
