Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0199140A1] The invention concerns a cathode structure for cathode ray tube electron gun for quick ignition of the cathode and excellent thermal efficiency. The cathode comprises a closed chamber consisting of a cap (11) supporting the emitting part of the cathode and a cup-shaped skirt (14); the skirt has a concave inner surface so as to reflect by radiation the thermal energy accumulated by the skirt walls towards the cap zone supporting the emitting part.
