Abstract (en)
The production machine for the tobacco industry, to produce continuous covered cylindrical lengths of hard filter materials or tobacco, has a format unit with side guide surfaces linked together by a curved guide surface. The guide surfaces form a contour (38) on a plane at right angles to the direction of material movement through the unit. At least one side guide surface is asymmetrical before it reaches a vertical orientation.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Formatgarnitur für eine Strangmaschine der tabakverarbeitenden Industrie zum Herstellen eines fortlaufenden umhüllten und im Querschnitt im wesentlichen kreisförmigen Stranges (7), mit Seitenführungsflächen (34, 36), die über eine gekrümmte Strangführungsfläche (37) miteinander verbunden sind, und wobei die Seitenführungsflächen (34, 36) und die Strangführungsflächen (37) in einem Schnitt (Y-Z-Ebene) senkrecht zur Strangförderrichtung (X) eine Kontur (38) bilden. Die Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß die Kontur (38) wenigstens bereichsweise in Strangförderrichtung (X) vor Erreichen einer im wesentlichen vertikalen Ausrichtung wenigstens einer Seitenführungsfläche (34, 36) asymmetrisch ist. <IMAGE>
