[origin: DE10144968C1] The edge grinding machine has a transport conveyor (18) for transporting the ceramic objects (12,14,16) through a grinding station (20) at which they are retained on the conveyor by friction. The grinding station is provided with a height-adjustable rotary spindle (26), fitted with a grinding head (28) having an endless grinding band (42), held stationary upon rotation of the spindle during the grinding process.
