Ink chamber (1) for a rotary printing machine comprises an inking roller rotating about an axis (D), an elongated ink chamber rear wall defining the ink chamber at least on the side facing away from the inking roller, two wedge-shaped doctor blades (5) set against the inking roller, and two sealing bodies (7) defining the end faces of the ink chamber and having sealing lips (8) set against the inking roller. At least one part of the sealing lips runs at a steep angle relative to the axis of rotation of the inking roller. Independent claims are also included for a sealing body for sealing the above ink chamber, and for a process for sealing the above ink chamber. Preferred Features: The sealing lips of the sealing body are angled against the end face of the sealing body. The entire sealing body lies at a steep angle relative to the axis of rotation of the inking roller.

Vorgestellt wird eine Farbkammer (1) für Rotationsdruckmaschinen sowie ein Verfahren zum Abdichten von Farbkammern (1), wobei die Farbkammern zumindest von den folgenden Elementen gebildet werden: einer Farbwalze (2), welche sich im Betrieb um eine Achse (D) dreht, einer langgestreckten Farbkammerrückwand (4), welche die Farbkammer (1) zumindest auf der der Farbwalze (2) abgewandten Seite begrenzt, zwei keilartig an die Farbwalze anstellbaren Rakelmessern (5), und zwei Dichtungskörpern (7, 22), welche die Stirnseiten der Farbkammer (1) begrenzen wobei die Dichtlippen (8, 21) der Dichtungskörper gegen die Farbwalze (2) angestellt sind. Hierbei verläuft zumindest ein Teil der Dichtlippen (8, 21) gegenüber der Drehachse (D) der Farbwalze (2) in einem schiefen Winkel. <IMAGE>
