Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1293462A2] The bobbin gripper has two lateral arms (11) with heads on their free ends to engage with a bobbin tube, and their other ends able to move in a supporting slideway (12) and opened and closed by a power cylinder (13). Each arm is connected by a pivot (14) passing through an elongated hole (15) in the arm to the slideway, which has stops (16) to guide and limit the travel of the arms as they open and close. The stops are made in the form of pegs on the slideway fitting into holes in the ends of the arms and having springs that urge the arms towards their open position. The power cylinder is connected by a bracket on its body to one of the arms and by its piston rod to the other one. The slideway is mounted on the bobbin gripper by a central pivot (17) passing through an elongated hole (18).
