Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1293609A2] The marking lines (7) are made from a flowing hardening material. A layer of marking material is applied to the road surface (8) in a constant thickness. Before the material has hardened, a vertically moveable slide dips into it, moves in line direction, and is lifted periodically so that material is pushed together to form pads (23). The height of each pad is varied dependent upon material excess (24) collecting in front of the slide, so that the excess does not exceed and upper and lower limit. The applicator has a pump (1,2), connected to an application nozzle (6), and a slide (12) with remote control drive operated by the applicator, to form pads extending at an angle to the direction of the line.
