Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1293630A1] The main body is in the form of a plug (12) of an elastic material that is formed with a series of ribs (24) and a domed head (22). The centre of the plug is hollow and set into this is a small cylinder of permanent magnetic material (16). The plug is set into a hole in a door or frame and applies a latching force when brought near to a metal plate.
