Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0200065A1] The invention relates to a furniture drive device (36) for moving parts of a piece of furniture in relation to each other. Said device comprises a first part, a second part which can be moved in relation to the first part, and a cable, strip or chain-shaped traction mechanism (44), the first end (46) thereof being fixed to one of said parts and the second end thereof (57) being actively connected to drive means for moving the parts in relation to each other. The traction mechanism (44) is alternately guided like a pulley block over at least one deviation element which is associated with the first part and at least one deviation element which is associated with the second part. The inventive furniture drive device (36) is characterised in that the drive means comprise a linearly moving drive element which is actively connected to the traction mechanism (44) in order to move the second part in relation to the first part.
