Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0193767A1] A motor-powered depilatory device (36) employing a hair-plucking assembly (35) containing a right hand actuator element (42) and a left hand actuator element (44), each carrying opposing tweezer elements (52), which fit together in interleaved fashion, arranged to define hair-traps, with the hair-plucking assembly (35) being rotatable about a central shaft (76) and operable to close and open the hair-traps by a system of cams and springs. The device (36) is designed to allow for self-alignment to the tweezer elements (52), ensuring that all tweezer elements (52) close simultaneously during a revolution of the hair-plucking assembly (35). The actuator elements (42, 44) are arranged to provide slots (50) for installation of a plurality rows of tweezer elements (52), arranged in a staggered, rather than tandem arrangement, which contributes to a much more even treatment of the skin surface.
