Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0197976A1] The invention relates to a cyclone separator (1) comprising a vertically extending housing (2) that has an upper housing section (3), in which a separator (6) with a separator wheel is located and which is equipped with a carrier gas/product inlet and with a carrier gas/fine material discharge. The housing also has a middle housing section (4), which is tapered in a conically downward manner and in which a central built-in element (10) provided for guiding the gas/product is situated. The housing additionally comprises a lower housing section (5) equipped with an oversized material discharge (14). The aim of the invention is to expand the area of application of this cyclone separator. To this end, the lower opening of the central built-in element (10) is located at the height of the conical housing section (4), and another built-in element (11) having the shape of a downwardly widening cone is arranged underneath said lower opening.
