[origin: WO0200397A1] The invention relates to a multi-purpose hand-held unit, especially for clerical work, comprising a stapler with a staple magazine (8), a staple driver (9) and an anvil (14) for folding down the ends of ejected staples. A component (2) comprises a support plate (12) and a casing (7) with a bottom wall (15) which define a receiving space, the anvil (14) being received in the zone of the support plate (12). The inventive unit is further characterized in that the receiving space accommodates a receiving compartment with a drawer (28).
