Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2810615A1] The steering system has a manual control wheel (1) for a wheel angle generator (2), actuators (9, 9') in the form of electrohydraulic or electromechanical power cylinders controlling the angle of the right and left-hand wheels (5', 5), a regulator (3) and a diagnoser (3') to reveal faults in either of the two control circuits. The diagnoser is linked to control units (14, 14') on the actuators which disconnect the actuator in the faulty circuit and link the two wheels via a rigid coupling bar (23).
