Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0202775A2] The invention relates to calpain protease 12 (Capn12), which is characterized in that it has an amino acid sequence comprising amino acids 1 - 342 of SEQ ID NO: 1 or an amino acid sequence selected amongst SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 2, SEQ ID NO: 3 or SEQ ID NO: 4. The invention also relates to the functional analogs of said calpain protease 12, to the nucleic acids coding therefor, to recombinant vectors containing said coding sequences and to microorganisms transfected therewith. The invention further relates to a method for recombinant production of Capn12 and to different applications of Capn12 and the nucleic acids coding therefor.
