A device for calibrating printing plate cylinders, particularly for a flexographic printing machine, which comprises a supporting frame (11) that is suitable to be arranged at a printing station (2, 3, 4) of a flexographic printing machine, in a position that substantially faces the printing plate cylinder (5), sensing means (20) that is rigidly coupled to the supporting frame (11) and is suitable to detect a marking (21) that is present on the printing paper (6), pointing means (17) which can be pointed at a marking (22) provided on the outer surface of the printing plate cylinder (5), in order to set the marking of the printing plate cylinder in register with the marking provided on the printed paper and detected by the sensing means. <IMAGE>
