[origin: EP1295973A1] An assembly transports a loose layer of textile fibres (1) on the upper surface of an air-permeable belt (4) towards a surrender point (5). The belt (4) lower surface esp. has a series of transverse air vanes (6). The conveyer belt lower face is separated from the guide vanes by a narrow, adjustable gap. The vanes have aerodynamically cambered surfaces and are arranged in a parallel array at an angle of less than 90 degrees to the belt on a position-adjustable support frame (10). Two rows of vanes are arranged in a swept-back array. The trailing edge gap between the belt (4) and feed roller (20) is filled by a gusset (22). An Independent claim is also included for a process and assembly to manufacture a fleece web on non-woven fibres.
