Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1295989A2] The machine (1) is for the continuous removal of old sleepers (9) from a railway track (3) and has a frame (5) with a movement mechanism (2) and a device (8) for removing old sleepers from a ballast bedding (4), together with a conveyor (22) for moving sleepers away in the machine longitudinal direction. A sleeper displacement device (14) has a movement component (17), which by means of drives is height-adjustable and movable in the machine transversal direction. It is applicable to the sleeper removal device (8) relative to the work direction of the machine. The movement component has a locating surface running in the machine longitudinal direction and vertically for location on a face surface of an old sleeper to be removed. It also has two grip tongs for securing an old sleeper.
