Abstract (en)
[origin: DE10027768A1] Branched copolymers based on unsaturated nitriles and conjugated dienes show a bound unsaturated nitrile content of 15-50 wt.%, a Mooney viscosity of 15-150 (ML 1 + 4/100 deg C), a chain branching of 0-20 deg ( DELTA delta B value) and a solubility of at least 85 wt.% in methyl ethyl ketone at 20 deg C. An Independent claim is also included for a method for the production of these copolymers by emulsion polymerization of the monomers in presence of a chain regulator, in which the regulator is added in at least two stages and conversion is at least 80%.
