[origin: WO0202777A2] This invention relates to a coryneform bacterium, the gpsA gene of which is enhanced, and to an isolated polynucleotide which encodes glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase from coryneform bacteria, and also relates to a process for the fermentative production of L-amino acids with enhancement of the gpsA gene in the bacteria, and to the use of the polynucleotide as a primer or a hybridization probe.
