[origin: EP1297929A2] Torque tool, especially a torque wrench (14), comprises a tool head (10) and a handle (12) fixed to the tool head so that it cannot rotate. The tool head has a device for transferring the torque from the tool head to a tool holder (18) positioned opposite the tool head so that it can rotate. The device consists of an exclusively friction-locking coupling (16). <??>Preferred Features: The coupling is tensioned by an elastic element consisting of at least one plate spring (20, 22). The torque transferred by the coupling can be adjusted.
