Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1298083A1] Lift device comprises a lift cabin (2) moving in a lift shaft and a counterweight (4). The speed of the lift cabin and the counterweight is monitored by a speed-restricting device which stops the lift cabin or counterweight using a safety catch (16) when the lift cabin or counterweight is traveling too fast. A blocking device blocks the safety catch during buffered travel of the lift cabin or counterweight. <??>Preferred Features: At least one blocking element (27) is arranged in the lift shaft to block movement of a blocking lever (25) connected to a trigger lever mechanism (14, 15, 17, 18) of the safety catch. The blocking element has a curved construction which allows movement of the blocking lever at one end and blocks movement of the blocking lever at the other end.
