Abstract (en)
A knitting element, e.g. needle, can be selected to move longitudinally in a guide slot as the butt (31) engages a cam. To deselect the needle, a selection cam presses against a follower (29) to depress a spring-loaded (32) hinged selection part (16). To facilitate initial assembly the needle is supplied with the selection part (16) temporarily attached to the body (2), e.g. with two spots of adhesive (38, 42) that break when the needle is first used. <??>The adhesive or lacquer can be soluble or alternatively, insoluble in machine oil. Other alternative temporary joins are soldering or welding, e.g. laser welding. The body and selection part can also be initially in one piece.

An einem Systemteil, beispielsweise einer Nadel (1), ist ein Auswahlteil (16) beweglich gelagert. Zur temporären Fixierung ist als Montagehilfe wenigstens an einer Verbindungsstelle (34) eine stoffschlüssige Verbindung in Form von Klebstoff, Lack, einem Laserschweißpunkt oder einem dünnen Materialsteg vorgesehen, der bei Erstgebrauch bricht oder sich auflöst. <IMAGE>
