Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1298260A1] Device for sealing the joints between two sections of a concrete body against liquid penetration comprises a U-shaped rail (1) made of a resistant material such as a plastic or a metal which forms an open channel (10) with a surface of the concrete body on which it is placed. A strip (2) made of a material which swells in the presence of moisture is arranged within the open channel. A closed channel (20) arranged parallel to the open channel has through holes leading to the bearing surface. A sealing material inserted in the through holes passes through the through holes toward the bearing surface and into the joint. <??>Preferred Features: The rail is provided at least along a part of its surface with ribs (17) or grooves (18) extending in the longitudinal direction.
