[origin: EP1298271A2] Running gear for a sliding door or window has two of more wheeled supported fitted under the door/window frame and running on a fixed track. The wheeled supports are linked by coupling rods and incorporate a lifting mechanism. Each wheeled support has two wheels (11) held between two metal side frames (12, 12a) clamped together to form a simple frame. The frames are symmetrical about a middle transverse plane (M) and the ends of the frames are fitted with components to connect to the coupling rods or to the lifting mechanism 96) at one end of the system.
